The New Zealand Sport Fishing Council Inc (NZSFC), is a not for profit organisation originally founded in 1957 and incorporated on 3 March 1959, incorporation society number 223403. We currently have 50 affiliated member Clubs from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island. The NZSFC Youth Nationals 2025 are just around the corner! This nationwide tournament, designed for junior anglers, runs from April 12th to April 27th, 2025, coinciding with the April school holidays.The tournament is a fantastic opportunity for kids under 18 to experience the thrill of fishing. With a structure similar to that of ‘The Nationals’, the event includes an all-tackle, measure-and-release format, and a points-based scoring system that encourages anglers to fish lighter line classes.
