WAROONA DAM

The lake is annually stocked with Rainbows and Brown trout. It also has Redfin Perch which can predominate over other species and when caught should not be returned to the water way. You can fish anywhere off the shore except the dam wall. Avoid the three ski take off areas when there is boat activity in the area. Fishing from a boat can be done at any time in the two five knot areas. Lures and fly choices are similar to those mentioned in the Harvey Dam section, small spinners and wet flies such as the black woolly bugger, cormorant or parsons glory.
