The most popular spot to find a trout on the Murray would be Lane Pool Reserve. There is also a camp site here where you can launch a kayak. If you are unsure where to start fishing in this system, Tom’s crossing is a good starting point. Continue to head upstream to Baden Powell and then on to Bob’s crossing. If you are prepared to look at maps and do some hiking/bush walking you can get away from the crowds and find other areas that hold trout. Redfin perch are also present in this waterway. Methods of fishing again are very similar to that in Harvey Dam.
