BARRA NATIONALS 2026

The Barra Nationals is an icon on the national fishing tournament scene. Currently the largest competition with 70 teams, 210 anglers registered to fish the iconic Daly River. The history of this tournament has regularly seen it at the forefront of innovation, marketing and how to have fun. In the industry it is generally regarded as a benchmark for fishing tournaments in Australia.The event attracts enormous interest with teams coming from all corners of Australia vying for the exclusive spots available.Due to the nonstop weeklong cycle of fishing, fun and entertainment the event is a serious test of determination and stamina. Most competitors go home needing a long rest to recover. The bonds that exists amongst the anglers in the Barra Nationals family is exceptional with many long term friendships being made and renewed year after year.The Barra Nationals was setup by the Palmerston Game Fishing Club way back in 1996 with a focus on providing an avenue for the average angler to fish and experience a world class fishing tournament. Competitors at the Nats via for a myriad of team and individual prizes with the most coveted being Champion Team and Champion Angler.
COBRAM BAROOGA ANGLERS ROUND 3 2026

Welcome to round 3 of the Cobram Barooga Anglers Annual Series. Round 3 takes place on the Murray River between Yarrawonga and Tocumwal as a camping trip. Winners are determined based on total points based on forumla.

The Southern Ocean Spectacular is a fishing competition held in Albany, Western Australia, organized by the Albany Boating and Fishing Club Inc.. This year’s event is scheduled for May 17, 2025. It features a sustainable format where competitors take photos of their fish on a brag mat in their boat, and can choose to release the fish alive. Prizes are awarded for the longest fish of each species, with a cash prize for the winning fish.

2026 BOATS & MORE NATIVE CLASSIC

The Boats & More Native Classic is a premier 3-day freshwater fishing tournament held at Lake Mulwala, scheduled for May 1–3, 2026. This catch-and-release event targets Murray Cod and Golden Perch using lure/fly methods. Capped at 50 teams of up to 3 anglers, it features over $45,000 in cash/prizes and includes a strict “no live-scope” rule.
The BOATS & MORE NATIVE CLASSIC is Round 1 of the Teams Fishing Australia series hosted on Lake Mulwala, NSW. Scoring is based on best 5 Murray Cod and Best 5 Golden Perch as a combined bag total length.
