The New Zealand Sport Fishing Council Inc (NZSFC), is a not for profit organisation originally founded in 1957 and incorporated on 3 March 1959. We currently have 50 affiliated member Clubs from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island. The NZSFC Youth Nationals 2025 are just around the corner! This nationwide tournament, designed for junior anglers, runs from April 3rd to April 18th, 2026, coinciding with the April school holidays.The tournament is a fantastic opportunity for kids under 18 to experience the thrill of fishing. With a structure similar to that of ‘The Nationals’, the event includes an all-tackle, measure-and-release format, and a points-based scoring system that encourages anglers to fish lighter line classes. Thanks to Daiwa NZ and Just Another Fisherman, there are some epic prizes up for grabs for the winning anglers!
