RAINBOW BEACH FAMILY FISHING CLASSIC

The Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic has been operating for 38 years bringing community, business and visitors together. Our event encourages mate-ship and positive mental health outcomes through the sport of fishing.The event runs for 7 days offering many opportunities for anglers with 5 nights focusing on minority groups to encourage participation: Seniors, Ladies, Youth, Juniors and Team.

Welcome to the April Round of the Women’s Recreational League. This is round 5 for 2024/5. This round is conducted across the month with fishing in any location in across Australia, with State vs State rounds on the line. Round winners are determined based on total points cumulative for all fish submitted.

MTA – BURNT THUMBS FISHING SOOTY CLASSIC

Welcome to the Burnt Thumbs Fishing Sooty Classic Fishing Tournament hosted by Mackay Tournament Anglers. This event is held at Lake Eungella located near the town of Mackay. Event format is Teams of 2 with winners determined by best 6 fish total length combined in cm.

HINCHINBROOK CATCH AND RELEASE TOURNAMENT

The Southern Ocean Spectacular is a fishing competition held in Albany, Western Australia, organized by the Albany Boating and Fishing Club Inc.. This year’s event is scheduled for May 17, 2025. It features a sustainable format where competitors take photos of their fish on a brag mat in their boat, and can choose to release the fish alive. Prizes are awarded for the longest fish of each species, with a cash prize for the winning fish.

JAF – ANGLERS ESCAPE 2025

Anglers Escape is an annual social fishing gathering and measurement competition created to bring like-minded anglers from all around New Zealand to fish for mental health. Not just for their own mental health but for the great charity Gumboot Friday by I AM HOPE which helps people get counselling for mental health issues and prevent tragedies like suicide. Males make up 60-65% of New Zealand suicides every year, and being a menswear brand, it hits close to home with a lot of our customers and friends being affected.

BARRA NATIONALS

The Barra Nationals is an icon on the national fishing tournament scene. Currently the largest competition with 70 teams, 210 anglers registered to fish the iconic Daly River. The history of this tournament has regularly seen it at the forefront of innovation, marketing and how to have fun. In the industry it is generally regarded as a benchmark for fishing tournaments in Australia.

NORMANTON BARRA CLASSIC

Nominations are open from 5pm to 9pm Friday and 7am to 9am Saturday at Albion Hotel. Fishing starts Saturday 6am through to Sunday 4pm and is allowed over more than 60 kilometres of the pristine Norman River. Weigh-in times 7am to 5pm Saturday and 7am to 4pm Sunday. Prizes in Junior and Open sections for Heaviest Barra, Salmon, Catfish And Other Scaled Fish.

LUCKY CATCH AND SNAP

Mackay Isaac’s Lucky Catch and Snap Lucky Fish is a random draw competition. The lucky fish will start with a value of $500 and will jackpot $500 each day until the maximum pool of $10,000 is reached. At 6pm each night from April 5 to April 26, a random draw will happen across the following three criteria:1. A location – One of twenty locations across the Mackay and Isaac regions. These will be published in advance so you know where the lucky fish is.2. A species – A species that can be caught at that location, the list for each location is available on the Where can I fish page, and 3. A length – Depending on the species, up to 120cm in length (to the nearest cm)If a fish you caught and registered with us via the Lucky Catch and Snap mobile application that day is a match across all three criteria, you win the cash!!
