The 20th Annual Rocky Barra Bounty delivered an elite event on almost all measures.  Covering the event there was plenty of action to report with live commentary right the way through the event with a daily reach between 7600 and 7900 people via facebook.  With a fish every 2 minutes and 91% of the field managing a fish the realtime reporting of catches provided plenty of content to engage audiences.  15 fishers managed 10 or more fish/

Over 500 Barramundi were caught at an average size of 650mm but ranging up to a 1.24m beast as the largest reported.  There were trophy fish aplenty with 6 Trophy Barra, 9 Trophy Barred Javelin (Grunter) and 25 Trophy King Threadfin.  The bounty provides the perfect balance between catch rates and big fish with 1 fish in 17 being a trophy.

2018 represented the most diverse field with more fishers from out of area than ever before.  The Barra Bounty is the most balanced event, for both catch rates and big fish on the TMF list at present and will no doubt attract in more top fishers in the year to come.
